Tracking Link Setup
Configure how tracking links are generated for this subaccount. Select a subaccount below to load or save its configuration.
The long tracking URL from the client. Use
{Reference}
(or any placeholder name) where the contact-specific value
should be inserted.
Optional. A custom domain for the short link. If
empty, the default domain will be used.
How the unique part of the short link is generated
for each contact.
The key from the contact's custom data that will be
used as the link identifier.

How It Works

Set up the destination URL template —
this is the client's long tracking URL with a placeholder
like
{Reference}. - Optionally set a custom short domain to make links cleaner.

Choose how the short link identifier is generated for each contact:
- Random 8-char — completely unique,
e.g.
/xh3c9k2m - Name + 4 chars — human-readable,
e.g.
/JSmith-xh3c - Custom value — pull a value from
contact custom data, e.g. vehicle reg

- When sending a tracking SMS, the system replaces the placeholder with the contact's value and creates a short link.
